Set in an ultra urban loft location, this funky wall was designed and inspired after the uber cool wall found in the therapists office in… you guessed it- The Kings Speech. Although not as colourful as the Academy Award winning feature film, here we stuck with natural greys and blacks giving this wall had a tremendous amount of layering and depth. Ultra thin coloured overlays were used with hard troweling to create this european lime plaster type appearance. In order to stay true to its natural feel, we left a very flat finish on it.

Oh, and it looks sick.

Recently I strolled through the new Toucan Ridge building we worked on last winter at this time- just to see how everything was looking. Nice to see the plants had a chance to grow in and all the water ways are flowing and growing algae. The Ocelot is finally home and getting used to his house. That place is just looking better and better. Still super pumped on that work and my guys. FYI, this job won an honourable mention for Concrete Construction’s: Job of the Year- and finished first under the heading Theme Park- and that, is awesome.

Sealing update!

This horrible mild weather has allowed us to help out some folks and re seal one of their buildings that has stamped panels. We developed an interesting process that works quite well in these conditions and gets some spectacular results…….yep!

Finally finished off that fireplace we were working on in the summer time. Actually, finally got around to taking some good pictures of it. Cultured stone is real nice, but nothing beats the endless possibilities and timeless look of carved vertical concrete

It’s always fun when you get to design the job from front to back! Here we designed the floor finishes (ground, stained and polished), information/ check out desk, washroom wall finishes and sinks, coffee shop and tables, tables and more tables!! We’re super pumped about this job- our first big adventure into polishing! Look for more and more coming your way on these exciting new finishes- we’re doing them inside and out..Yeah man!!!
