backyard wonderland update!

Things are moving along quite nicely in the backyard wonderland.  Trees are in and we are ready for concrete firepit pad to be poured.  Look!! We even used some pre fabricated concrete blocks to make a…. wall!!  That’s going to make a nice seating wall at the fires edge.  Man, it’s backyards like this that can take the edge off a crappy day!  At least Dave likes it!

Man, I can’t believe how much I suck at spelling and sentence structure. I don’t know how you people can actually read this stuff!

Our very own steel workers Ryan and Tanner used their mad plasma cutting skills to craft this nifty pocket for the Freightliners flip tarp

Don’t be angry because this looks so awesome.

i think the lower case i looks way cooler than the upper case I. Perhaps I’ll just spell eye to be different, but that takes time so i it is.

how to stain manufactured rocks 101:

you know, I’ve never been a fan of manufactured rock.  Probably because the colours are lame and they look fake.  We recently stained some rock for a customer and are pleased with the results.  Have a look see…:

a real rock

L1050754

a face rock stained

a manufactured rock waterfall stained.  The idea is to use the correct dark stain, and acids to achieve the rust oxide markings in brown tones…. I think.
