how to stain manufactured rocks 101:

you know, I’ve never been a fan of manufactured rock.  Probably because the colours are lame and they look fake.  We recently stained some rock for a customer and are pleased with the results.  Have a look see…:

Here’s a little new Hu’s on First action

With the success of their first bistro at the ball diamond, the newer, larger location at the stadium looked to be too good to be true.  The new location for the Hu’s asian bistro is ellice and king edward.  Here, we ground and detailed, stained and sealed the old floors- into works of art!  Our proudest achievement is the wicked water feature that greets you as you enter the vestibule.  In this space, we were lucky enough to be asked to decorate the space as we saw fit: asian themed benches, planters, and decor.

**the columns in the water feature were done with nothing other than our carved vertical product we discovered this past summer

it was a blast!

Cool wall work, pre cast columns, and woodwork!

This here was a super fun project we worked on over the winter, and completed this spring.  Check out the cool details on the columns and walls.  The drive is sandblasted and courtyard has acid staining and ground concrete as well.  Can you see the grass in the wall?… L1030706 L1030702 L1030697

This was an interior overlay floor which was acid stained with our new spray hand buff technique. Wicked cool mottling and nice look. The wildlife doesn’t hurt either!

Whad up with this space?

the good guys L1030198 L1030195 L1030194 composed with cool acid stained planters, vases, vessels, and wicked landscaping!  Its a space that shows a fence being built with some landscaping being done.  It’s designed to get you thinking about taking advantage of that there home improvement intensive from the government boys.  I know, it worked…..

ground and stained concrete provides an interesting effect

DSC_0084 DSC_0085 This bookstore floor was the perfect location to create an old school floor which looks decades old.  With just the right amount of grind coupled with the mottling effects of acid stains, this floor makes even the worst of cracks look like they belong there.
