Here’s some updates on what’s been goin down in the shop this past week.  We have 2 8’s and a 6 footer left to throw up (haha) and carve out.  I spent today fooling around with colour and colour blending.  I think I’m close- but may yet use some more grey/black.  It’s surprising the samples of Canadian Shield rock we brought in is loaded with yellow and brown rust- almost no grey at all.

All’s (not a word) that’s left is to transport (dreading that- the shop doors are 8 feet, and the tall posts on a pallet are 8.6 feet). Once on site, these particular pillars will have huge rough sawn beams connecting them together.  There’s a pretty good chance I’ll post one picture of a finished product.  Haha?!!
